Qred ranks #2 in Europe for long-term growth, according to Financial Times
Stockholm, Sweden, 29 October 2026 – Qred Bank has secured second place in Europe's Long-Term Growth Champions 2027, the Financial Times and Statista's ranking of European companies with the highest compound annual revenue growth rates over a ten-year period.
Qred Bank has been ranked second in Europe and first in Sweden in the Financial Times and Statista's Europe's Long-Term Growth Champions 2027. With a compound annual revenue growth rate of 88.46% between 2015 and 2025, Qred leads the financial services sector in a ranking of 300 European companies.
In short:
- Qred Bank ranks #2 in Europe and #1 in Sweden in the Financial Times and Statista's Europe's Long-Term Growth Champions 2027, which ranks 300 companies across 28 European countries.
- Qred Bank achieved a compound annual revenue growth rate (CAGR) of 88.46% between 2015 and 2025, making it the highest-ranked financial services company on the list.
- Qred has grown from a Swedish fintech founded in 2015 into a licensed bank operating across seven European markets. Qred received its Swedish banking licence in 2023 and announced plans to join forces with Liberis in 2026, aiming to build an international financing platform for small and medium-sized businesses.
With a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 88.46% between 2015 and 2025, Qred is the highest-ranked Swedish company and the highest-ranked financial services company on the list. Only UK-based Yorkshire Gas and Power ranks higher overall.
The recognition comes after Qred's six appearances in the Financial Times FT1000 ranking. Unlike the FT1000, which measures growth over three years, the Long-Term Growth Champions ranking examines performance across an entire decade.
A decade of challenging traditional business banking
Founded in Stockholm in 2015, Qred set out to address a familiar challenge for small business owners: access to financing was often slow, complicated and poorly suited to the needs of smaller companies.
By combining technology with a focus on the everyday needs of entrepreneurs, Qred has grown from a Swedish fintech challenger into a licensed bank operating across seven European markets.
In 2023, Qred received its banking licence from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, marking an important milestone in the company's development.
"We started Qred with a simple belief: small businesses deserve better banking. Being ranked second in Europe for growth over an entire decade is an incredible recognition of the magnitude of the problem we’re solving and the people who helped solve it. It's also a reminder that staying focused on solving real problems for a long time can create something truly lasting,” says Emil Sunvisson, CEO and c-founder at Qred Bank.
Building for the next chapter
The ranking covers a ten-year period that included the Covid-19 pandemic, rising interest rates and significant economic uncertainty across Europe.
For Qred, the recognition arrives at a pivotal moment in its history.
In June 2026, Qred and Liberis announced plans to join forces, bringing together their experience, technology and capabilities with the ambition of creating a global platform for small and medium-sized business financing.
The combination represents the next step in Qred's journey from a Swedish fintech startup to an international financial services business.
"We're proud of how far Qred has come, but our ambition has always been bigger than growth for its own sake. We want to make a meaningful difference for the entrepreneurs who create jobs, build businesses and keep economies moving. Joining forces with Liberis gives us an opportunity to take that mission even further, in Europe, the UK and the US" Emil Sunvisson continues.
