Qred Challenges the Status Quo: Appoints FinTech Veteran Knut Frängsmyr as CCO and Deputy CEO

Stockholm, Sweden – March 11, 2026 – Qred, the leading challenger for small business financing in Europe, today announced the appointment of Knut Frängsmyr as Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy CEO.

“Knut adds a wealth of experience to Qred from his previous positions. I have been impressed with Knut’s ability to quickly catch up with Qred’s business, his systematic approach to understand and address problems and not least his humble attitude.” says Emil Sunvisson, CEO of Qred. “I think that Knut will hold us to a higher standard as we’re leveling up the stakes in our quest to become the leading bank in small business financing.”

Frängsmyr joins the company just as it has announced that it, as the first Swedish company ever, was a FT1000 for the 6th time, and the billion revenue mark was passed with a good margin for 2025 and profit soared to over SEK 100 million.

"Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, yet they are the most underserved by the financial establishment," says Knut Frängsmyr. "Qred has the guts to say what everyone else is thinking: the old way is broken. I’m excited to join a team that values passion and innovation over bureaucracy."
